Keratin Tips Application
1. PREPARATION
1. Clarify the Natural Hair
-
Shampoo with a clarifying formula only. No conditioner.
-
Dry completely and brush through until perfectly smooth.
2. Section Cleanly
-
Start from the nape and work upward in clean, horizontal rows. Use Sectioning Pads for a better result.
-
Sections must be fine enough for visibility and precise placement.
3. Match Strand Density
-
Each Keratin Tip should be paired with a natural hair section of equal density.
-
Too much or too little natural hair will affect longevity.
2. APPLICATION
1. Isolate a Perfect Strand
Use a pincher tool or tail comb for clean, tension-controlled sections.
2. Position the K-Tip Bond
- Always use a Plastic Shield to protect the client's scalp.
- Place the bond ¼ inch (0.6 cm) away from the scalp.
-
Ensure it does not touch the scalp directly for comfort and movement.
3. Heat & Melt the Keratin
-
Use a professional fusion tool. make sure it has different temperature settings.
-
Melt until soft, we recommend take a single bond and test it — avoid overheating or liquifying excessively, this will create shedding.
4. Roll, Seal & Smooth
-
Roll the softened keratin around the natural hair into a smooth, cylindrical bond.
-
Keratin bonds should be fully sealed with clean edges.
5. Continue Row by Row
-
Maintain even spacing and parallel alignment.
-
Bonds should fall naturally with the client’s head shape.
3. PLACEMENT GUIDELINES
-
Leave 1–2 natural rows around the perimeter for styling flexibility.
-
Maintain ¼–½ inch spacing between each bond.
-
Avoid weak, fragile areas near the face frame or crown whorl.
-
Use color and density mapping for seamless blends.
4. BLENDING & FINISHING
Dry-Cut & Detail
-
Point-cut or slide-cut to blend extensions into natural hair.
-
Add soft face-frame layers if needed.
Style With Care
-
Hair can be curled, flat-ironed, and styled as normal using moderate heat.
5. AFTERCARE (Give to Client)
-
Do not wash for 48 hours after installation.
-
Use only sulfate-free, extension-safe products.
-
Avoid oils, conditioners, or serums at the root area.
-
Brush gently 2–3 times daily with an extension-safe brush.
-
Sleep with hair in a loose braid or low ponytail.
-
Avoid direct heat on the bonds.
6. MAINTENANCE
-
Schedule a check-in every 6–8 weeks.
-
Removal must be performed professionally using approved keratin remover.
7. PROFESSIONAL NOTES
-
Always select the correct K-Tip texture, color, and density.
-
Ensure each bond is sealed cleanly — no flat spots, no sharp edges.
-
Avoid installing on compromised or overly fragile hair.
-
Clean, precise sectioning = clean, long-lasting bonds.
